Ok so you know it's bad when both you and your husband are not feeling well, but he offers to run to the store for medicine and food because, and I quote Jeremiah here: "You look a lot worse than I feel."
The past few days our noses have started draining, and mine started to drip. We thought maybe it was from working out in the yard yesterday. So last night we took some allergy medicine and hoped for the best. I woke up this morning with a sore, scratchy throat. Jeremiah came home from work with the same. Other than that I felt pretty good. Until about 8:30 a.m. Then it hit. My usual tummy troubles that I somehow managed to avoid during my pregnancy came back in full force. So I called into work feeling like I was going to die. It took about three hours before the Sprite and Imodium kicked in fully and I started to feel a little better stomach-wise at least. Our heads are both still stuffy and I look like I have two black eyes with the big dark circles under them. As the night wears on my voice has become more and more hoarse and I feel like my eyeballs might pop out of my head and fly across the room.
We were hoping Brady would somehow avoid all of this head coldness, but it seems like he may have caught it a little bit too. His little eyes have been watery all day and as the day has progressed he has become more and more fussy. I gave him gas drops which didn't really seem to help much. Then he got really fussy and was crying with real tears...most of the time he just fake cries when he wants something so I knew he wasn't feeling good. We gave him some Tylenol drops and then I rocked him to sleep for a while. He just woke up a few minutes ago and he seems like he's feeling a lot better now. Hopefully he won't get sick like us...and hopefully whatever it is we have goes away as quick as it came. I know something has been going around work the past couple weeks. That's one of the downfalls of working in such a people-rich environment...I'm exposed to a bunch of junk and dirty people who sneeze and cough all over everything. Yuck. I'll just have to keep my kleenexes and hand sanitizer handy...and Lysol all of the phones and register keyboards before the store opens!
