Florida-bound

We are heading South for the winter - or at least a week of what's left of it Tuesday morning so I wanted to get all of the pictures off the camera and onto the computer for our trip. Here are some cute ones from the past few weeks!
Brady boy gets chapped cheeks from slobber rubbing under his pacifier. It doesn't seem to phase him though.

Yumm. Toast. Brady is getting to enjoy a whole new world of food now that he's officially got some chompers. He's got all four front teeth now and he's definately giving them a workout.

His new favorite face accented with green beans and applesauce. Tasty.

We threw Stacey a baby shower Jan 28. Whoa - she's all belly! Quite a difference from me at that point. Meliah is due to arrive in just a little more than a month on St. Patrick's Day!

One of Stacey's friends had a baby a month before Brady was born. Her name is Hannah. She and Brady had fun playing together at the shower. This picture cracks me up it's like peanut head and Charlie Brown!

Look at him - 8 months old and already chasin' the ladies!
Hannah couldn't crawl as fast as Brady so he kept catching her! It was hillarious!

Heeby-jeebies

Well, we all had a pretty tough week here in Kansas City. My last post was Tuesday afternoon. At that time everything was hunky dory, but it quickly went downhill from there! On the way to the tax people's house Jeremiah was complaining of indigestion. I asked him if we needed to reschedule our appointment, and he said no, he thought he would be ok. About an hour after we were there Jeremiah got sick. He threw up about three times over there and then about four or five more out my car window on the way home. Ick. Thank goodness we had a warm day that day and it was still in the 40s on the way home...every other day this week - before and after that day - it's been in the 20s. We finally made it home and I got Jeremiah to bed around 10. He still didn't feel well, but he was well enough to finally lay down. I ate some cereal and toast and went to bed on the couch shortly after. Around midnight Jeremiah woke me because he couldn't get warm. I covered him with about five blankets and waited for him to stop shivering before I went back to the couch. I could tell then though that it wouldn't be long...about 20 minutes later I started getting sick. We were up the rest of the night. Thank goodness we have two bathrooms!!! Wednesday afternoon Mom came to get Brady and Jeremiah called in to work for the first time in three and a half years. Thursday I was still not feeling well so I called in again. I knew I was completely dehydrated from getting sick so I took the day to rest and drink lots of water. Jeremiah felt better by the afternoon and went back to work. I went to Mom's to get Brady in the afternoon and was feeling much better with the exception of a horrible headache and runny nose. By this morning I was ready to go back to work. **Side note: Tuesday my sister Jenn got sick just like us and her husband Mike got it Wednesday. Dad got it too. Ugh. It seems everyone in Kansas City is sick!
So this morning I get Brady to the babysitters where I discover that on the way he has had a diaper explosion. Since Sunday he's been having diareah which is pretty much untreatable in babies. He's been on a restricted diet, but having "the unmentionable" means he can't stay at day care. So it was another day off work for me. I went to work for a few minutes and printed reports that I needed so I could get some work done at home at least. He hasn't had another blowout since then, just wet ones. To complicate matters his other top tooth came in today which means he's not really been interested in drinking a lot. Hopefully he'll be over this soon since we leave for Florida in four days!

9 months - well, almost

Brady went for his 9 month check up today - two weeks early...since we'll be at the Daytona 500 when he actually turns 9 months in a couple weeks! He's 20 pounds and 29 inches tall! Wow. In just 8.5 months he's grown so much. Dr. Monzon didn't find anything to be concerned about. The next time we have to visit him will be after Brady's first birthday! Can you believe it?

He's still got just three teeth. This weekend we thought the other top one was going to make an appearance, but it turns out Bubba just had a belly virus which was making him crabby. We were up for about 4 hours Saturday night from midnight till 4 a.m. He threw up three times and just didn't feel good at all. Poor Jeremiah had to go out at 3 a.m. to get some Pedialite. It was like 10 degrees out. Yuck. By Sunday morning Brady was feeling better - part of the problem was he was so sleepy, but he just couldn't sleep. By Monday afternoon he was feeling almost 100% better. I think today, aside from the poop explosions he keeps having, he's feeling much better! All I have to say is thank goodness for disposable diapers. Ick. I can't imagine using cloth.

Well, we have to go get our taxes done! I'll put pics on later!
