I got a new cake pan yesterday - thanks to my Mother's Day present from Shirley - thanks!!! - so I had to make a cake today for no particular reason!! It turned out pretty good considering I forgot the 3-D cakes need pound cake mixed with the regular cake mix to make them stand up better.
Brady helped me ice the cake...well, he ate all the leftover icing anyway!!!
Here are some quick updates:
Mackenzie has diaper rash really bad. It's been bad for a couple weeks. Every time she gets on antibiotics she gets really bad diaper rash from her poop. Crazy. I'm going to have to call the Dr. tomorrow and get some prescription creme. So that's made her really fussy all weekend long. She pretty much just wanted to be held and carried everywhere. Although she was really good at pictures yesterday. (I'll upload the mother's day pics we had with my sisters and mom later.)
Brady is healthy and definately acting like a 3-year-old. Absolutely nuts one minute and the sweetest boy on earth the next. After a horrible day today when he spent more time in time out than he didn't he was finally settled down and watching me ice the cake. All of a sudden he rests his chin in his hands with his elbows on the table, looks at the cake, chuckles this cute little "heh heh" laugh and says, "This is gonna be great Mom!" It was so cute. Then after I was done with each color on the cake he had me make "finger stars" for him. He would have me put an icing star dot on the tip of each finger and thumb so he could eat them! It's amazing he's actually sleeping now because he probably had a 1/4 cup of icing!!!
Jeremiah's doing great. He gets off work at midnight and then he's off for 10 days - well, he has a few training things but for the most part he's off since Robin and Rustin are coming to town for Brady's birthday.
I'm doing good too. I started weight watchers and have lost a few pounds - although I too had some finger stars so we'll see how that all works out!!! I applied for a few jobs last week so we'll see if I hear anything from any of those this week. I sure hope so. My brother-in-law's aunt works at one of the companies I applied to so she's going to put in a good word for me! I hope it helps. Maybe I'll at least get an interview. His aunt is the mother of the girl that babysits for us every once and a while.
Well, I have to get to bed since I have to get the kids to the babysitters in the morning and be at work by 6:30 a.m. Ugh.
