GO CARDS!!!!

Despite being a Mets fan, I still am, and always will be a Cardinals fan too. I know it doesn't make sense since they're both in the same division, but you know. It happens.
The Towers used to be just across the street here.
There is a huge display around Ground Zero with pictures from 2001, a timeline of 9-11 and the days after, and the names of all the victims.
Part of the exhibit.
The WTC Path Station/subway station is now open again.

This was down in the subway tunnels after 9-11.
Looking down at the footprints. The reflection pools that were there for the 5th anniversary weren't there anymore when we visited, and construction was well underway.

On the other side of the law. Jeremiah and I went up to NYC by ourselves one afternoon to do some sightseeing and spend some time together. We stopped in at the NYPD police museum.
Jeremiah left one of his Merriam PD patches on a wall in the museum where officers from all around can leave patches.
The wall was pretty impressive. There were patches from everywhere - even foreign countries...I would tell you which ones, but they were in foreign languages so I don't really know what they said. I think one was Buenos Airies - however you spell it.
This plaque was in the Remembering 9-11 exhibit. If you can't read it, it says that the NY of the Yankees logo was taken from a Medal of Valor in 1877 that is awarded to a NYPD officer killed in the line of duty.
These are some of the things recovered from the WTC site after 9-11. There is still dust and dirt on it.
This was a door on a police truck recovered from Ground Zero.
Lock me up and throw away the key.
Jeremiah outside Police Headquarters. Across the street is City Hall. We saw a whole line of people waiting to go inside to get married. It was funny. There were all these people dressed really nice, and a lady in her wedding dress who apparently had just got married eating at one of the nearby hot dog vendors. That's what I call an inexpensive reception!
Brady loves to read stories. Especially Curious George ones.
Grandma Robin got Brady a big book of several George stories.
Reading is fun.
In Penn Station by the giant clock. This was after we went to see Tarzan on Broadway and we were waiting for our train to come take us home!
Grandpa Rustin got to babysit for a while before we got home from Tarzan. He dressed him for bed in his orange long-johns, Mets onesie and blue doggie slippers. It was really cute! He was stylin. His little slippers are almost too small now which is sad because they were really cute and warm!
Brady loved Chubaca. On the last day in New Jersey he pet him and grabbed his ear. Chuey grinned and beared it!
Playing in the exersaucer.
Laughing with grandma and grandpa.
Brady loves blondes!
Grandma makes a good pillow.
Alley Cat jumped into the basket on the bottom of Brady's stroller one morning. Jeremiah was walking down the hallway and apparently spooked the kitty so she jumped in there to hide!
We went bowling and after many attempts at avoiding the gutter I finally got a strike near the end of the second game! Hooray!
While we were on vacation we found a halloween costume for Brady - a funny dinosaur.
He's like a little doll.
We were going to make an Al the Aligator costume for him, but it was much easier to just get him a cute outfit - plus we ran around so much the whole time that we didn't have time to sit down and make an Al suit. He's going to be very cute, and very warm on Halloween.
Sucking his thumb on the way to Baltimore.
I have no idea why he was cracking up, but my goodness, I don't think he could have gotten his mouth open much wider!!!
We have the cutest baby ever!!!
A good book always makes me sleepy too!
Bath time! Brady got to take baths in a small tub in grandma Robins big utility sink. It was pretty fun. Grandma bought some fun squeezy toys for him. I think Mommy and Daddy got squirted with them more than Brady!!!
Now that's just precious. Our little sailor.
A view of the Atlantic Ocean from a restaurant on the boardwalk in Point Pleasant, New Jersey.
Headed for the sand.
The waves were very relaxing to watch. Why don't we have an ocean in Kansas???
Brady dipped his toes into the Atlantic!! He didn't like the water so much since it was really cold, but as soon as his toes were out he was happy again.
Brady loved feeling the sand between his toes.
He says, "Ew, that feels funny!"
This is the life.
Brady played his first game on the boardwalk...how appropriate, a fishing game with Daddy. He won a small prize...Daddy picked it out - a little Yankees pillow.
