Ok, so here's a quick post while I am getting ready for work. We just got back from Florida on Sunday where we spent 10 days running around like crazy. We went to the Nascar races Saturday and Sunday and then went to St. Augustine on Tuesday, the beach Wednesday, the Kennedy Space Center Thursdayy, had Mackenzie's first birthday party on Friday, the Daytona flea market on Saturday and then came home Sunday. It was a whirlwind trip, but very fun. Robin flew down too so while we were at the races the kids stayed with Robin, Shirley and Gerald. The kids wore them out! Mackenzie got two molars while we where there! Then I took her in yesterday for her 1-year checkup and she has a double ear infection. I have had a head cold for 13 days now and it isn't getting any better. Last night I work up at 4 a.m. and didn't go back to sleep. I had a really bad sinus headache. I took some medicine around 7 and feel about halfway better. At least I can function now.
Brady is doing really well. He has been healthy all winter. No ear infections! He is definately in his terrible twos. Most day's he is really good, but he has his moments! He really is so well behaved though that it's hard to believe he is two sometimes. Especially with the way he talks. He really speaks as well as a four-year-old. Yesterday at Mackenzie's appointment Brady was talking to Dr. Monzon and all of a sudden the doctor was like, "Wait, how old is Brady now?" I said he will be three in May and he said, "Wow, he is really ahead of average on his language." He is hillarious the things he says. I need to get a journal to document everything he says!
Mackenzie is doing good too. She's 28 inches long now, which is pretty short, but it's ok. She's my little baby doll. She has six teeth on top - two are molars, and two teeth on bottom. She took her first step on her birthday, but is still not wanting to walk without holding onto something. She still isn't saying anything but Mama and Dada, but that's normal for her age. She will likely start saying words in the next month.
Jeremiah is busy busy busy with work. He loves his detective work and it seems to keep him on the go. He is in training this week to become certified to work on the Metro Squad. It's a group of officers from several cities in the area that work big cases together.
I have been pretty busy at work too. It's been kind of stressful. The company laid some people off, but luckily no one was affected at my store. A couple of the other stores in my district lost a couple of people. Sales are terrible so I'm sure the company is going to be making changes throughout the year to keep up. I don't like my job, but it's better than not having a job at all, so I'm doing my best to control what I can and keep it.
Our new puppy Shea is doing great - she's getting really big. She is almost half as big as the other two, but growing every day. She gets into everything! Just like a puppy!
Well I have to dry my hair and get ready for work.
